IT CAME! YAY!!!

So in order to get married here in Austria, I needed a birth certificate with an apostille. I had to do some researching on how to get this and be on hold a while with the Vital Records Office, but thankfully, I found out what I needed, where to send it and then a little over a month later, I got this in the mail! YAY for one step closer to getting all the paperwork done for marriage - it gets complicated when you marry someone of a different nationality in a different country!

Welcoming strangers into my home

For 16 weeks now, we have had a young refugee couple from Syria living with us. They have been married a little over a year and for the majority of that time have been separated from each other, since he made the journey to Austria alone and got everything in order so that she could come legally.  Let me backtrack a bit and tell you how it all started. As the refugee crisis really started to explode here, facebook was buzzing with articles, videos, pictures, etc. of the situation. I read a lot. I saw a lot. I was moved. I was troubled.
