This greeted me when I finally arrived in Vienna!  Very European - a welcome back sign on a beer canister!
I received a not so friendly gift from Delta on my first flight.  The plane was a small one, so we had to give them our carry-ons.  Mine was filled with books, so it was rather heavy...I was glad to give it away.  However, once I got it back, I discovered that I could no longer pull out the retractable handle!  I was not happy about lugging that sucker around for the rest of the journey!  Funny thing ... just before the flight, my sister asked me if I really wanted it to be that heavy and I said, no worries, I won't be carrying it, just pulling it around ... NOT!  I was so thankful to land in Amsterdam and find those nice little trolleys to push your bags in!  Good thing there was something to brighten the fact that I had missed my flight due to leaving Detroit late because of engine problems....
Here are some things that helped keep me busy and awake today:
* grocery shopping w/ this came the shock of price differences between the States and here...and I missed having a car, lugging things around is just not fun, even if I don't have that far to go, it's still unenjoyable!
* finding homes for new things that I got in the States, here's one of my favorite buys:
so lovin' the design
* working on a small project:

found this idea on pinterest ... old clorox wipes container to store plastic bags
* making dinner...it was good to cook in my own little kitchen again!
It was supposed to look like this ... but it seems there are no shell noodles to be found in this country!  Shocking, huh?!
* reading this funny and yet strange article
*watching this cool video!  The food move and eat ones are also entertaining.
* talking to my wonderful sisters
if only we lived closer and were able to have moments like these more often...sigh...
Yet despite all my activities...it's quarter to two in the morning and I'm slowly (very slowly) starting to feel sleepy.  Oh jet lag, you are cruel!
G'night world!  Anybody got some tips on jetlag??

Such cute recipe cards! And I love the idea of using a wipes container for plastic bag holder - it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteLes - that MOVE video hurt my eyes! man! but they were pretty cool - all three ... I didn't see a FOOD one ... ??
