Kidd's Ring

My birthday started off with some sad news (Felix is detained in the States for another two days due to the volcanic ash cloud) and I decided that I needed to focus on the small things that encourage me throughout the day...so that made me think of my GSTs and I thought I would do one today! * a chocolate bunny from Switzerland and a favorite chocolate chip muffin from the bakery * a voice that sounds stronger and feels stronger * sunshine and no rain after days and days of it * a dear friend to help fill my birthday, since Felix is stuck in America - she even gave me a flower * being able to talk to Felix, my parents, my sisters and my cousin! * receiving a book made by students, here are some exerts: "On her day off, Miss Kidd meets Mr. Ring." I love the winking faces that Felix and I have. This one says, "Dear Miss Kidd, I like you because you are nice. Happy Birthday. I love you!" Wow, hard to believe I have been doing GSTs for one year now - so much has happened and changed in this past year! God has been so faithful and good to me! I am so very, very blessed. Here are the last five GST: * All Day Read In with the elementary kids * putting together our wedding registry - soooo much fun! * fast dinner w/ Felix * bday party with Austrians * falling into bed after a very LONG, but very good Monday!

~ hearing the church bells - I love Sundays!! ~ good church service ~ fun day with Felix and his family ~ learning a new game ~ slideshow of the Ring Family in their early years :)

-as my mom would say, sleeping in until I woke up this morning :)- -public transportation, I used it SO much today!!- -making and eating Thai chicken w/ peanut sauce for lunch- -good talk with Felix tonight after a day of assembling living room furniture- -sunshine and snow (not so happy about the last one though!)-

....bulgogi for dinner - it's been so long since I've had Korean food!!! ...it's Friday! ...watching a new movie ...taking Felix to try suits on for the wedding! Fun times! :) ...good classes with the Kinder.

- having fun between school and the concert - having families come together for Uncle Jerry's concert - durum for dinner! - not feeling too tired today - watching the kids during book title charades

having a volunteer help with second grade so that we could make two classes with two different levels of English - it was AMAZING! laughs with one of the first graders throughout chapel picking up living room furniture for the new place :D getting another idea for the wedding fun time reading The Mitten with one of my classes

1) the start of spiritual emphasis week (for a full report visit Tricia's blog ) 2) beautiful Monday 3) finally purchasing the last tickets for the summer! 4) a little bit more time to read throughout the day 5) eating cake made on Saturday :)

~ waking up to amazing sunshine and birds chirping! ~ yogurt and granola ~ making an easy and quick lunch ~ a day with Felix ~ going to our first premarital counselling

- having Felix back in Vienna!!- - skyping with my cousin, parents and brother - - getting some cleaning done! :) - - being able to wear these again because of warmer weather - - having time to make this -

...being able to sleep in a little bit longer (esp. when last night was not a very restful night of sleep, not sure why)... ...ice skating with the kids... ...an afternoon to get work down, since we had a half day today... ...dinner at the pretzel restaurant... ...Felix comes home tomorrow and he called me last night!...

- sun that actually warms us, the kids were not wearing coats during recess! - watching a movie about a snowman with 1st and Primary - having a buddy while going to the eye doctor (thanks, Montoya!) - a nice, long email from Felix (he's in Italy at the moment on "business" - lucky him!) - gmail chatting with two dear friends (it was fun, Sharon + Joanna - miss you, girls!)

heat again in my classroom working out w/ the girls talking to my sisters being at home tonight having leftovers for dinner :)

- watching the Olympics - eating Oreos - good night with an Austrian friend - doing handcrafts with Petra with two of our classes today - SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dinner made by Felix's sister finding a warm place, despite the lack of heat on the entire level of the school where my classroom is! one-on-one lunch time with a co-teacher talking to a new ELL volunteer finally having my headache go away!

...fun ice skating day(a bit stressful though)... ...playing games with all the third graders... ...getting a yes for a question, i thought would get a no... ...International Family Fun Night... ...having Felix and my students be together in one place...

-) having one of my students tell me that she prayed for me during chapel when they were supposed to choose someone that they want to honor and pray for them. -) snow melting, so I'm hoping that means spring is coming! -) good skype conversations -) my roommate made dinner -) short staff meeting
