Felix and I spent 2 1/2 days in DC. It was fun touring around the city and meeting up with various friends. We were blessed with great weather as we toured around and were outside quite a bit. Sadly, we didn't get to see all we wanted, but we did get a good chunk of sightseeing in. We walked all along the mall, saw all the memorials along the mall, went into the Air and Space Museum, the Old Post Office Tower, the Spy Museum and the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

and we got to meet up with dear friends from Word of Life days....so wonderful! |
So the last picture is fuzzy, but quite humorous. On the train ride back to Lynchburg, we saw this elderly Chinese couple. They went back and forth between seats until finally she decided it was time to sleep. She stretched out over two seats, yanked down the tray of the one (I think to cover her face), and then her husband came and tucked her in w/ newspapers! It was sooo bizarre!! I guess that's one way to stay warm on the train .... btw, if you should ever take the train, I hope yours are more punctual. We were an hour late getting to DC and leaving DC. But we still really enjoyed our time ... what have you done in DC and really enjoyed?
Sweet! nice post ... i had forgotten about the chinese couple - lol
